BOOKMARKS 書嘜


It’s 2016. In a day and age where social media prevails, who would still read printed books?
Four groups of Master of Visual Arts students from Hong Kong Baptist University explored the reading culture in Hong Kong. The ensuing artistic researches, art projects and artworks discusses the pleasure of reading, value, and missed opportunity of printed book reading.

2016年,一個資訊發達、圖像氾濫的速食年代,文字愈趨廉價(真是這樣嗎?)。今時今日,還有多少人願意拿起書本,細味字裡行間的睿智與敏感?
藉著今次《書嘜》展覽,香港浸會大學視覺藝術系碩士生從「實體書」出發,分成四組,透過一系列創作和研究,發掘閱讀樂趣;並以不同的藝術形式和媒介,呈現文字與書本的價值和美好,傳承文化智慧,締造各樣可能。




Once upon a time
“Once Upon a time” by Artist Donna Yuen is the interactive art of series of books drawn by the strangers in Hong Kong, which can be continue while exhibiting. It aims to stimulate people creative thinking and encourage reading or sharing. Through the interaction between the readers and artists, unique books are created and the traces bring you and me together.
